Ian’s Been At It Again!

Saturday, September 12th, 2009

On a recent trip to Bluebell lakes, regular customer Ian Smith banked 4 carp from Sandmartin during a weekend session. Ian fished over silkweed in front of a thick weedbed at 70 yards to catch his fish. Using a mix of Sticky Baits Bloodworm Boilies and Dynamite Spicy Tuna and Sweet Chilli Boilies with Sticky Baits Bloodworm Pellets.  The setups Ian used were 4oz leads on  Nash Weed Safety  Leadclips with rigs consisting of Nash Triggalink to 50lb Korda Armourbraid with a size 6 Nash Fang Uni Hook and Sufix Camo Skin with a size 6  Gardner Mugga  Hook. The carp Ian landed weighed in at 14lb, 17lb 4oz, 25lb 14oz and 27lb 12oz. Well done again mate.

Successful Weed Fishing

Saturday, August 15th, 2009

For those of you carp fishing particularly weedy waters this year dropping your lead is probably a very high priority. Regular customer Ian Smith showed me a weed lead clip system by Nash designed to drop the lead with even less effort than most regular lead clip systems. I always cut down my lead clips when fishing in weed but these lead clips mean you don’t need to. The Nash Weed Safety Bolt Bead  used in conjunction with the  Nash Weed Safety Tail Rubbers  are basically a smaller version of the regular lead clip system which requires less force to discharge the lead and are ideal for fishing in weed. Recently Ian has landed a lot of carp using this clip system and it is without a doubt a factor that has helped him land more fish.

Give the Nash Weed Safety Bolt Bead and Tail Rubbers a thought next time you’re tackling a weedy water.

Yet Another 30lb Plus Common

Monday, August 10th, 2009

Shop regular John Jones banked a 3o plus common on a new water recently. The fished weighed in at 35lb 2oz and was a fish caught a month earlier by Ian Smith at a similar weight. John tempted the fish back to the bank with a mixed bed of sticky baits boilies and a snowman hookbait. The set up John used was a Korda 4oz lead on a  Korda Safe Zone Safety Lead Clip  and Johns’ rig was tied with Kryston Super Mantis Green Hooklink and a size 6 Nash Fang X Hook. Well done again mate. Nice photo too.

Nash Rig Light

Saturday, April 25th, 2009

A quick word now for those of you who bought the Nash Box Logic Rig Station, the Nash Rig Light is now in. The Nash Rig Light clips onto your rig station or bivvy table and has a flexible neck so you can direct the light where it is needed. The reason it has taken so long for these to come in is that Kevin was not happy with the original batch and sent them back. We also now have the  Nash Box Logic TT Linkers in stock. The Linkers are clever little boxes which can be linked together and are really handy for storing smaller terminal tackle items. For more information or to purchase follow the above links to the main site.

You only have to look at Jim Shelleys’ outstanding results over the atrocious winter we have just had to know how good these bad boys are. The Amber Strawberry range is bright white in colour so for an alternative hookbait when single bait fishing ,why not give the Amber Strawberry Pop Ups  a go. Thats it for now, more reviews soon.

ATTS Alarms And Nash Boxlogic Rig Station Will Make Your Christmas

Friday, December 5th, 2008

The new ATTS Bite Alarms and Nash Box Logic TT Rig Station have just come in. These babies will make the Ideal christmas presents for carpers everywhere. I’ll do a short review on them below, for more details and to purchase them go to the main site via the links.

ATTS Bite Alarms – ATTx V2 Receiver

The New ATTS Bite Alarms are the ultimate tackle tarts item. However you don’t need to be a tackle tart to appreciate and make use of their unique features. The ATTS’s most unique feature is that it is the first silent alarm, the audible alarm is given by the ATTx V2 Remote receiver. There has been a lot in the media recently about sound travelling down the line and spooking the carp the ATTS will prevent this. The ATTS is the smallest bite alarm on the market and along with it’s silent function and matt black, soft rubber touch finish, the ATTS is the ultimate stealth alarm.

Nash Box Logic TT Rig Station

The Nash Box Logic TT Rig Station is absolutely brilliant, I’m just amazed that nobodys produced something like it before now. The TT Rig Station organises and stores all of your terminal tackle, PVA, marker floats, leads etc. The Rig Station also stores all of your rigs and comes supplied with 20 rig pins. The most ingenious part though is that the rig station is just that, it doubles as a work station where you can tie your rigs with everything to hand, you can even critically balance your hookbaits. Check this one out I don’t think you will be disappointed.

Thursday, August 28th, 2008

Surface fishing is one of the most exciting fishing methods, so heres a perfect rig to get you out there and catching fish off the top. The components used to make this rig are a Nash Bolt Machine, 5mm ESP Rubber Shock Beads, Nash Safety Bolt Bead Swivels, Drennan Double Strength and Nash TT Fang Gaper Carp Hooks.

Step 1.

Tie up a 2 foot Knotless knot hair rig using the  Nash TT Fang Gaper and the Drennan double strength hooklink material and tie to the Nash swivel using a Grinner knot. (See picture below)

Step 2.

Now slide the Bolt machine up your mainline then put the 5mm Shock bead on and tie the mainline to the swivel on the hair rig using a palomar knot. (See pictures below)

Step 3.

Then push the bead onto the eye of the swivel and pull it into the bolt machine. (See picture below)

Here is what your finished setup should look like.

All the knots used in this demonstration can be found in previous blogs if you need to refer to them for help.
