Another Autumn Result

Monday, December 3rd, 2012

I had another result a few weeks ago on CC Moore Odyssey XXX freezer baits and snowman presentations with CC Moore Hellraiser pop ups. I used blowback rigs on helicopter setups incorporating Korda Wide Gape Hooks and Atomic Jel-E-Wyre Hooklinks. I banked 12 carp in 48 hours including this long, lean 24lb common.

Low Stocked Result

Tuesday, July 17th, 2012

I fished a low stock Nene Valley gravel pit a few months back and on my first session I managed a cracking 28lb 12oz Common within hours of finding a few fish and casting a few baits at them. The fish fell to CC Moore Odyssey XXX Freezer baits with a corkball hookbait presented on a Hinged Stiff rig incorporating ESP Stiff Rigger Hooks, Gardner Trip Wire and GLT Green Stiffy.

Elsons Cracker

Saturday, June 30th, 2012

I did another overnighter recently at Elsons on the Stanwick Lakes Fisheries and had a result in the form of 5 fish. I turned up to find the lakes quieter than expected due to the bad weather and after a quick walk round I had found a few fish and decided to setup in the nearest swim. Three hinged stiff rigs with CC Moore Odyssey xxx corkball pop ups were soon cast out towards the showing fish followed by a light spread of Odyssey xxx freezer baits. I didn’t have to wait long for the first take which resulted in a 16lb 4oz Common, shortly after I landed a stunning 21lb 8oz Mirror which was the result of reeling in a rod and casting a single at the group of showing fish in the next swim. Through the night I had a further 2 takes including a 20lb 8oz Common and finished up with a 16lb 12oz Common and a 6lb Tench just before packing up.

Hows your spring fishing going? Send us any photos and catch reports to carp@carpcatchers.biz and we will add them to the blog and our facebook page.

Autumn Success

Sunday, November 7th, 2010

The autumn period has to be one of my favourite times of year for fishing. The leaves are falling off the trees, a lot of anglers start to stay at home due to colder conditions and the fish get on the munch before the impending winter, as this recent capture of mine proves during a session on one of my syndicates. Its a fish known as the “Dumpy Mirror” and weighed in at 34lb exactly. The fish fell to a corkball pop up fished on a Chod Rig consisting of an ESP Stiff Rigger Hook, Gardner Tripwire and 9 ft of ESP Original Camo Leadcore.

Get out there and bag an autumn whacker!

New Products – Sticky Baits Bloodworm Bait Range

Saturday, June 19th, 2010

We now have the Sticky Baits Bloodworm Range in stock now and it has been doing really well for some of our customers. The Sticky Baits Bloodworm Boilies  contain both low temperature and soluble fishmeals, plenty of fresh bloodworm, blood plasma as well as a specially imported. To raise the attractor profile Robin Red and Paprika are also included at the optimal level. We have the bloodworm boilies in both Freezer and shelf life. To compliment the boilies we have the Sticky Baits Bloodworm Pop Ups and Sticky Baits Bloodworm Dumbells. For those of you that use sticks the Bloodworm Bag & Stick Mix contains much higher levels of the soluble ingredients than can be used in the boilies themselves resulting in really high levels of attraction around your hookbait. To increase that attraction even further soak your hookbaits in the Bloodworm Bait Glug which contains a potent fish protein extract, Paprika oleoresin and not forgetting hydrolised bloodworm. The Bloodworm Bait Glug is really thick and Sticky!  If you are using the dumbells or boilie bottom baits, the Bloodworm Paste, which also contains higher levels of the soluble ingredients than the boilies, will boost your hookbaits attraction even further. It could also be a great stalking hookbait in its own right. Finally we have the Sticky Baits Bloodworm Pellets which are one of the best selling specialist pellet of all time. The bloodworm content has been increased and the Hydrolysed Bloodworm Compound has now been added making this pellet even more potent.
