Pre-Baiting – Rewards

Friday, July 9th, 2010

To follow on from the recent blogs on prebaiting here are a few pictures to prove that prebaiting brings rewards. These fish were all caught from the same area of the lake after a long period of continuous prebaiting during late winter early spring.

Its really is worth putting in that extra effort.

Here’s A Different One

Wednesday, April 22nd, 2009

Here’s a different one from Rob O’ Brien. Customer Rob did a bit of fluff chucking at Rutland Water the other night and had 4 fish. The best of which is the nice rainbow trout shown below. The fly used was a green and black tadpole with a gold bead head tied to a weight forward line to a fulling mill leader(which Rob says is great for floater fishing for carp).

Tom Out Foxes Reservoir Pike

Thursday, March 5th, 2009

Customer Tom The Fox Cox outwitted this awesome pike with a suspended roach from our deadbait section. Toms’ hefty pike weighed 19lb 4oz and was caught from the banks of a reservoir. An awesome catch well done Tom!

Bens 20lb Pike

Wednesday, December 3rd, 2008

Customer Ben also had a pike fishing trip to Pitsford Reservoir recently. Ben tempted this 21lb beauty of a pike whilst fishing a copper spoon lure from the back of a boat. The capture was featured in the Angling Times recently and was a Drennan Cup contender. Bens winter fishing goal was a 20lb pike and he achieved it at the first time of asking. Well done Ben!!
