Gigantica Result For Dodge

Friday, July 30th, 2010

Customer Dodge Green had a nice result from Gigantica recently. As most of you know Gigantica is quite a hard water and the week that Dodge was there only 4 carp were landed with 5 lost. The nice 39lb 8oz mirror below fell to Dodges rods after only 6 hours fishing, with another lost on the last night. The winning tackle included 12lb Pro Clear  tied to a 4ft 24lb Grand Max leader and a 3oz Atomic Inline Lead. The rig was tied blowback style with Korda Supernatural  in gravel brown tied to size 6 Nash Fang Twister  hook with two Korda Sinkers  on the hooklink. Bait was from Deception Baits. Well done Dodge!!

Friday, May 28th, 2010

After a very long lean spell customer Sean Bowen has landed a nice common from the difficult Pit 6. It’s not the biggest carp in the world, but they all count and when your struggling size doesn’t matter. Sean broke his blank spell using Baitcraft T1 Freezer Boilies  his rig featured a Korda Soft Coated Braid hooklink tied to a size 8  Korda Kurv Shank Hooks . Well done Sean on, keeping on.

New Products – Nash IC-1 & Gardner Covert Chod Hooks

Saturday, May 22nd, 2010

Some more new products now. From Nash Baits we have the new Nash IC-1 Boilies  now in stock these have a curry/spicy flavour and are suitable for year round use. We have them in both freezer and shelf life and I’m sure they’ll be really popular. From Gardner Tackle we have the new Gardner Covert Chod Hook which is plated rather than Teflon coated. We all know the problems with Teflon coated hooks, rust around the eyes, loss of hook point sharpness and increased diameter, well the unique Covert plating overcomes these problems and also increases camouflaging. For more information or to purchase please click on the above links.

One For The Future

Sunday, December 6th, 2009

In this Carp Catchers Blog we have one for the future. Customer Rob O’Brien sent in this photo of this gorgeous scaly mirror carp not a monster but who cares. Also notice how Rob has chosen a suitable background for his catch photo which really enhances the whole thing. Rig details are sketchy but a Korda Choddy  hook and a Korda IQ Hooklink  were involved.

 “Hi John,
A top time was had by all at the Sanctuary in France with 54 fish being banked between the four of us, with 5 40′s and some 20+ 30′s, awesome!!!!
I accounted for 14 of the haul with one 40 and nine 30′s three mid 20′s and one at 12.”

Baitcrafts T1 Freezer Boilies  purchased from us in both 16 and 20mm accounted for all of Sean’s fish. His rigs were constructed wth size 5 ESP Big T hooks tied to either Korda Hybrid Soft Coated Braid  or  Korda Supernatural  hooklinks. Nice one Sean, really good looking fish. Photos’ are pukka too.
