It’s Boilie Time!

Saturday, November 5th, 2011

Its that time of year again when boilies come into there own and tend to out catch most other baits. During the Autumn as the temperatures are dropping and the days are getting shorter the carp begin to have a feed up for the coming winter months and boilies are one bait they know are good for them. During a recent session on my syndicate I landed this 26lb Mirror carp on a 15mm bottom bait topped with a 10mm Mainline Tutti Frutti Hi-Visual Pop-up over a small bed of mixed size boilies. Use a good quality boilie like Mainline Fusion Or Nash Scopex Squid.

Get yourself some boilies and go catch ‘um!

The bait James used was 18mm Mainline Fusion  boilies scattered over a wide area. James rigs were tied with 25lb Sufix Black Silt  stripped back 4”, size 6 Gardner Mugga Carp Hooks, 3oz MCF distance lead attached to a Korda Safe Zone Safety Lead Clip, Korda Tail Rubber and Korda Sinking Rig Tube.

Again note that James has thought about the background for his catch photo, making a memorable catch even more memorable. Well done James, hope to see more in the near future.

The Girls Bite Back

Thursday, May 14th, 2009

This Blog shows that the girls can catch them too. Customer Chris’s better half Laura got in on the act at Linear Fisheries, Manor Farm Lake recently. Fishing to a gravel patch just off the no fishing bank Laura tempted the monster 32lb 4oz mirror shown using Mainline Fusion boilies. Laura was using a 2.5 oz lead tied shocka rig style using a gravel Korda Safe Zone Kamo Leader . The rig Laura used was tied with Korda Supernatural Sinking Braid  to a size Kurv Shank hook. Well done Laura there’s plenty of guy’s out there who would love to catch a fish like that.
